The Mountfield SP46 is a long-standing favourite — a no-nonsense self-propelled petrol mower for medium lawns of up to around 1,200 m². Its 46 cm steel deck and stronger 139 cc STIGA ST 140 engine make light work of larger areas, while the self-propelled rear-wheel drive keeps the effort low.
Choose to collect into the spacious 60-litre hybrid bag (with bag-full indicator), mulch with the supplied plug to feed the lawn, or rear-discharge. Six cutting heights are set from a single centralised lever, and the handles fold down for easy storage.
